I think that the a and e in daemon are supposed to be stuck together. Don't ask me why, but it's like that in the book.
Too many book are being turned into movies...
Let's hope the Golden Compass movie will be better than some I could name...
You're right about the spelling of Daemon Paper Towel. I think that, with a few exceptions, the book is generally better than the movie.
Movies are usually harder to make than books.
In books, you can just say "there was a battle scene" but in a movie, you actually have to show it.
Blech.
